A full time staff scientist position in the laboratory of Biomaterials and Biointerfaces is available immediately in high resolution imaging (microscopy) techniques, physics, and mathematics; particularly in X-ray radiography and tomography.  The position requires calibrating the newly acquired Micro XCT-200 to  address several interdisciplinary scientific questions across various Departments and Schools within UCSF.  It involves streamlining the various experimental processes to establish scientific conclusions using quantitative data.  Expertise will include but not limited to 3D imaging using other post-processing software and MATLAB coding all of which will be essential aspects of the job.  Additionally, due to the exciting interdisciplinary nature of the position, multitasking and scheduling to meet deadlines, and good organizational skills are mandatory aspects of this full time position.

The appointment will be for one year, with possible renewal for two subsequent years.  Interested applicants with or without a Ph.D. should send a CV, along with names of 3 references to:

 Sunita P. Ho, Ph.D.
