I am trying to extract 2D height(Z) values as a text file. I know one can extract the Z values from a line-cut using the "Section" function, but I'm wondering if there's an easy way to extract the height values for the entire image? so basically what I need would be the X, Y, and corresponding Z values for every pixel in the AFM image.

Thanks,

Simon

yes, you can export the height file as an ASCII text.

I don´t know which version of the software you are using now. Generally, this function is listed in the menu bar / Export/Export as.../ ASCII.  Or under the software Nanoscope Analysis version 1.40, on the right hand, in the ´Browse´ column ,  just right click on the file which you want to be exported, you will see the ´ASCII´ button.

Hope it helps.
