Indentation depth control in FV with Nanoscope 8.10

Hello, There has been a few studies which have highlighted the importance of indentation depth control when measuring Young's moduli of live cells. In force-volume mode, I use the relative trigger to stop the indentation when the cantilever deflection (x) reaches the trigger threshold value. However this value can create variable indentation depths, depending on the area of the cell which is analyzed. What I would like to do, is to enter an indentation depth value instead, that would correspond to a piezo displacement (Z) minus cantilever deflection (x), thus Z - x (of course for materials that are too difficult or impossible to indent, an "absolute" value for cantilever deflection should always be entered). My questions are : - Is this even realistic ? If yes, - Is it possible to implement ? If yes, - Is this already implemented in Nanoscope 8.10, or is there a workaround to obtain the same level of control? Thank you very much, Anthony
