June 5 was the grand opening of the much anticipated renovation of the AFM headquarters of Bruker’s Nano Surfaces division in Santa Barbara, CA. The $4.4 million dollar, year-long renovation was enacted to provide better customer service, technical support, and production capabilities for Bruker’s AFM business. The facility’s new state-of-the-art demo labs provide a unique, research-grade opportunity for customers to experience and learn about the products and technologies we offer. Combined with new meeting rooms and expanded applications lab space, we are now able to offer a good showcase for our products’ capabilities.

Improvements include a new demo lab and four applications lab rooms, including a dedicated research clean room and a new class 2 bio lab. The 100,000-square-foot high-efficiency lighting has been installed throughout the facility to reduce the carbon footprint, and the production floor has been radically increased. Be sure to drop by the facility for a visit if you are in the Santa Barbara area, or contact us to set up an instrument demo. We’d love to give you a tour of the facility.
