getting no data output while scanning on Nanoscope IV

Hi,

i recently started to revive an old Multimode SPM with Nanoscope IV controller that has been sitting in a box for the last 2 years. we set the scope up and got it to engage and scan when pushing the engage button. i can also see that it approaches the setpoint so it is in surface contact and it holds the setpoint so i am pretty sure it is scanning and getting feedback but we do not get data from the scan updated on the image. the image window simply stays blank. i am suing software version 6.11r1. i found some old data on the computer and can open, view and analyze it just fine. Any ideas?

When starting up the computer i did get a string of 4 CMOS warnings. Might that be related?

I am glad for any pointers you can give me.
