Hello,

Is it possible to have some details about the preparation procedure for the PS-LDPE calibration samples that is provided in PF sample kit?

Indeed a customer from the university of KTH asked me this question:

"We are doing a systematic study on nanomechanical properties of some polymeric composite coatings using PF-QNM and we need to know more about how this PS-LDPE sample has been prepared and how LDPE has been introduced in PS matrix. Any small detail could be beneficial for us and helps us with more understanding of what we got. We have started our study from this sample so now we need to know more about it (protocol, molecular weight, temperature, blending conditions,....)to help us with interpretation of what we have and continue with our study."

Many thanks,

Fabrice Magne.

Fabrice,

We don’t have all the details on the preparation of that sample, but it is essentially commercially available PS combined with a proprietary Dow LDPE.

Sorry not more help,

Steve
