Hi everyone,

my query about TappingMode operation may be a trivial one, but...

could someone explain me what information can I extract from TM Deflection images? And, what is the difference with the Height image recorded in Tapping.

In other words: what information does TM deflection give me, more than Height data?

Thank you in advance for all the answers.

Sincerely,

Sebastiano

I encounter this problem too. In my opinion, the TM deflection can reflect the tapping force during scanning, that is to say: the average force exerting on the sample. This data is useful in force modulation.
