Hello,
I measured the deflexion sensitivity with a variety of probes (from 0.32 to 50 N/m) on glass and sapphire surface and I am getting values in the range of 10 to 15 nm/V.
Isn't that a little low?
Thanks,
Benoit.
Hi Benoit,
The deflection sensitivity of a probe does change depending on the particular AFM system you are using (different photodetectors) and depending on whether you are in fluid or air. If you are using a Bruker AFM with NanoScope software you should have access to a probes database that will give you a nominal deflection sensitivity for a particular probe for the system you are using as well as for air or fluid.
With respect to the values you stated I find similar values on my BioScope Catalyst.
Best,
Andrea
Hello Andrea,
I am using a BIoscope catalyst with Nanoscope 5.
Where can I find this database?
