I am trying to determine the hardness of ceramic thin films, for this purpose i am using the diamond tip probe provided by Bucker. My question is what is the tip radius? they provided me with a data sheet for spring constant calibration and resonant frequency. however i couldn't find the tip radius, serial number for the probe is #16035414.
Thanks in advance!!
Hi Sunil,
Are you using the DNISP? The radius is 40nm (nom.) and can be found on the specsheet: https://www.brukerafmprobes.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=3253

Hi Stefan,
Thank you for the reply, I found the information in the website you provided. I am using PDNISP.
Sunil
I have few questions for you
1. what is the maximum trigger threshold can i apply for nanoindentation?
2. Can PDNISP tip be used for imaging?
3. Should i calibrate the spring constant of the cantilever or the data provided on the data sheet is enough
