RMN 12Pt400B solid platinum engaging in contact with TUNA tip holder

Hi, I do not succeed in engaging the solid platinum tip in contact mode with the TUNA sample holder, while I can do it with the standard tip holder.

The problem with the TUNA sample holder is that the tip reaches the surface and the software notices the engagement with the usual beep. But then  the feedback signal is highly unstable and the tip is not in real contact with the surface.

With the standard tip holder, no problem at all.

Only once I succeed in achieving a good engagement, by changing the position of the clamp over the tip. But this trick is not always effective.

What can I do?
