Hi Guys,
I am using AFM to indent my cells under the physiological conditions (live cells). I am measuring their Young's modulus using recorded force curves. However, I am not sure how can I calculate how deep I am indenting the cells!
I was wondering how can I calculate the depth of the indentations. It is worth mentioning that the force I apply to the cells is between 500 pN to 1 nN.
Thank you all,
Iman
Hi, on the force curve, you have z as the x axis and cantilever deflection d as the y axis, indentation depth is calculated as z-d.
