Hi,

Recently our AFM nanoscope V is found to have clicking sound in the nanoscope head and the tip vibrate even without opening the software. Fuse and selectors are checked and It pass DSP stress test and NSV diagnostics.  We finally  found out the Y+ waveform is not normal.

Is this a common problem for an old AFM?

What might cause this problem?

Is it possible to extend the warranty of refurbished machine?

Thanks.
