Will tapping mode will not be available for good and be replaced by scan asyst?

No, there is no chance that Tapping Mode becomes obsolete. Although ScanAsyst is a very powerful mode, Tapping Mode still has excellent capabilities on certain samples (hydrogels, cells).

Anyway, the user should always have the choice. Actually, on every tool working with the Nanoscope V controller, the user can chose between all the available modes (tapping, contact, force, mechanical caracterization, electrical mode,...). Tapping mode is still in the list and is also available on non NV-controller-coupled tools.
