Hello,

We are using an icon AFM system and the height trace/retrace is matching up really poorly in tapping mode afm.  In addition, the edge of  height images are blurry/stretched out (same side no matter the scan angle).  Nothing improves when you decrease the set point.  The lift mode is NOT enabled so that's not the issue.  Does anyone have an idea about what could cause this?  Thanks.

Hi Eric,

This sounds like issue of poor tracking that affects the image quality.

Can you send an email to the AFM.Support@bruker.com? Then, I will send you the trouble shooting guide.

You can also find lots of useful information on brukersupport.com.

Thanks,

Teddy

Hey Teddy,

Just send out that email.  Here is an example height image of what we are seeing.

I've replied your email already. What type of AFM do you have?
