Does anyone have an idea about using calcium carbonates (CaCO3) as a tip ending?
What method do you recommend? functionaliztion fro regular tips or tips tagging with CaCO3 ending.
Any other suggestions and publications are welcome
cheers
Ahmed
I never heard about such a tip coating. I know that some people sucessfuly attached CaCo3 particles on highly cationic polymers like cellulose and that it looked pretty stable. So the first step could be a cellulose coating (J Colloid Interf Sci 1996, 179, 269-275) of the AFM tip and this should be straightforward on Si3N4 tips. I don't have more info, sorry.
Alex.
