We work actually on bacteria in aqueous medium with a Dimension FastScan AFM type.

We regularly have bugs with the program v8.15r.

Indeed, during the manipulations, the program can either remain frozen or it crashes and it can happen several times a day.

Is that one of the FastScan users have already had the same problem and could offer us a solution?

Many thanks

Gregory

Hi Gregory,

I hope that you have been able to solve the problems that you have been having with your software since you posted this. In case you are still having some issues (and even if not), you might want to make sure that you are using the latest version of Nanoscope software that is available: v8.15R3sr4.

Best,

Andrea

Hi Gregory,

We also use a dimension fastscan, and were experiencing many crashes and freezes with the older version of the control software.

As Andrea suggested, after upgrading to the latest software release we have had almost no crashes at all for the past few months, so I'd suggest a software upgrade is certainly worth doing.

Cheers,

Ash

Hello Andrea,

I was wondering whether the latest version is still v8.15 and if so, where can I find it in order to upgrade the one we have installed in our system (v7.5).

Regards,

Stavros
