Hello,

I downloaded the Nanoscope Analysis software (V140r3sr1). I then installed the software on a running Windows XP Virtual Machine, checking  my computer and the virtual machine comply with all the minimum requirements The installation seemed to be successful, but when I tried to open the program (even after restarting my computer) the following error message comes up "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may help to fix this problem". Any idea on how to fix this or why this is happening? Do I need an older version of the software?

Thanks!

Nanoscope Analysis (NA) uses WPF for part of the user interface, and the WPF engine relies on DirectX accelaration in order to render content, which may be a problem with a virtual machine.  NA also requires .NET 4.0 (which should have been installed by the NA installation program) and a graphics card that supports DirectX 9.0 or higher.
