Bruker Nano Surfaces Division requires an application scientist based from our Atabaia facility in Brazil. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting market growth of Bruker Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Stylus and Optical Profilers (SOM) and Tribology/Mechanical Test (TMT) products. This will be achieved working directly with the Bruker do Brazil AXS division sales team and more widely in Latin America by supporting Bruker Nano Surfaces division channel partners in other countries.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1)      Deliver application/scientific support of selling our AFM, SOM and TMT products, by running demonstrations, organizing road shows, customer visits, conference presentations all in close cooperation with our Brazilian Bruker sales team and Channel Partners in other Latin America countries

2)      Act as technical ‘expert’ in supporting and advising our customers in Brazil and Latin America

3)      Provide applications and technical pre-sales support for BNS channel partners throughout Latin America including visiting prospective and existing customers throughout Latin America

4)      6) Manage the demonstration facilities of the BNS division in the Bruker Atibaia office.

5)      8) Support BNS service team when requested in installations and technical troubleshooting on instruments

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

·         Excellent inter-personal communication skills

·         Must be able to travel in different areas within his/her coverage.

·         Fluent in Portuguese and English. Spanish fluency highly beneficial.

·         Driving license

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD degree or equivalent in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or Engineering
  • Technical background in AFM strongly preferred
  • Experience of 3D optical microscopy and mechanical testing is beneficial but not mandatory
