Dear all,

I need an updated manual explaining the file format in v9.2 Nanoscope software. In particular I am struggling with the exportation of force curves (in particular those acquired in PFT environment).

Thanks for help,

Alessandro

I add some information to my previous message, which is specific of the exportation of FCs acquired during point & shoot launched within a PFT environment.

Differently from the case of the 9.1beta software installed on my Catalyst system, in 9.2 the vector of deflection values extract from the raw .spm file of a force curve is twice as large. In order to obtain a properly shaped force curve, I have to sort one value every two from the array, as the intermediate values are all zero, or very close to zero. Why this? Am I doing the right thing by simply taking one point every two? May it be relevant the fact that, as I noticed only after acquisition, I have saved the "defl. vs separation" curve instead of the standard "defl. vs Z" curve?

Alessandro

p.s.

there is an error in the header, where "Seperation" is used instead of "Separation".

Another quick update.

Also standard maps (height, amplitude error, phase...) in v9.2 are saved with twice the number of points. The second map is obtained by sorting one point every two (starting with the second) and reshaping according to number of lines and number of points.

Which maps are these?

I would greatly appreciate to receive illuminating information...

Alessandro,

This should be in the help manual.

Check it out from "Software User Guide --> File Formats" on your Nanoscope Software Help manual.

If you can't find it, please contact the Bruker Tech Support in your region.

Thanks,

Teddy
