  • Re: Dimension Fluid Cell Compatible with Diiodomethane?

Dave, I would take a guess, Diiodomethane (CH2I2) should be chemically similar to Dichloromethane (CH2Cl2, also called methylene Dichloride). By looking up the chemical compatability list in the Appendix A of 004-1016-000 ELECTROCHEMICAL SPM MANUAL VERSION 7-C, methylene Dichloride is fairly compatible...

  • Re: Fluid Cell compatibility with Dimethyl Sulfoxide

Dave, DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is a very strong solvent, will make the silicone splash guard used with DTFML-DD-HE swell 10~20%. It is usable, but user needs to be aware of possible contamination as a result of this. Chunzeng

  • Solvent Compatibility

I was wondering if it was possible to carry out solvent vapor annealing experiments in situ with the AFM. I don't know if we can do such experiments without damaging the electronics parts of the microscope. We have the Veeco temperature controller system. Solvents that we'd like to use are THF...
