Dave, I would take a guess, Diiodomethane (CH2I2) should be chemically similar to Dichloromethane (CH2Cl2, also called methylene Dichloride). By looking up the chemical compatability list in the Appendix A of 004-1016-000 ELECTROCHEMICAL SPM MANUAL VERSION 7-C, methylene Dichloride is fairly compatible with the Dimension Fluid Cell. Dave, DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is a very strong solvent, will make the silicone splash guard used with DTFML-DD-HE swell 10~20%. It is usable, but user needs to be aware of possible contamination as a result of this. Chunzeng

I was wondering if it was possible to carry out solvent vapor annealing experiments in situ with the AFM. I don't know if we can do such experiments without damaging the electronics parts of the microscope. We have the Veeco temperature controller system. Solvents that we'd like to use are THF and choloroform.
