  • offline planefitting question

Hi, is "offline planefit" full (what it stores the data with) the exact equivalent of doing a first order xy planefit in the post processing? Thanks, Dalia

  • rotated tips needed for QNM?

Hi, In our starting package for QNM, we got sets of tips including TAP150A, RTESPA, and TAP525A. My understanding is that only for RTESPA's, the tips are rotated by 180 degrees. Is this a necessary requirement for QNM, or can you run any cantilever as long as it is aluminum coated? For exammple, would OTESPA's be as good as RTESPA's for

  • very stiff cantilevers/diamond tips for QNM

Hi, I would like to try QNM on some very stiff materials (100GPa-200GPa) most to look for material contrast, not necessarily quantitative moduli, and it was recommended that I use the nanoindentation probes (stainless steel cantilever, diamond tip) since compliance of the Si cantilevers is not appropriate for these materials. Some questions on this

  • Nanoscope Analysis questions

Hi, I have been using nanoscope analysis version 1.40. a couple of questions: 1) How can I extract a parameter file on QNM images? Specifically, I would like to see what the OLS and spring constant used for the image. I know I can't retroactively adjust it, I would just like to look at what the values were if, for example, I forgot to record them

  • Re: exporting images in nanoscope analysis

Thanks Steve - that does help. So my next question: where is the link to 1.4 so that I can upgrade? :) Dalia

  • exporting images in nanoscope analysis

Hi, Sorry but a quick add on to the last question: if you want to export multiple channels of the same image in jpeg, how do you do that? When you export a particular channel, it doesn't let you select a filename, it just selects the image filename.jpg. So, if you want to then save a different channel with tha timage and try to export that, it just

  • exporting jpg/tif images in nanoscaope analysis 1.20

Hi, Is the only way to export a tif/jpeg image from the browse window on an image that has already been saved? For example, if I'm doing analysis on an image, but don't want to save that image, just to export teh analyzed image as a jpeg/tif, can I do that? It seems like the only way I can export jpeg/tif images right now is if I do it in the

  • Re: High Speed Imaging while Heating and Cooling

Steve, Neat video! A couple of questions: 1) how did you prevent the tip from contaminating while you were heating nad imaging simultaneously? 2) how long did the whole experiment take? 3) how was sample affixed to the substrate (or maybe the film was spun coat or dip cast onto a substrate?) Thanks! Dalia
