  • Problems stilll exist with latest version 1.40 R3 Sr5 Spectrum 2D.

It still seems that when using the Spectrum 2D, the FFT the direction of the noise spots is inverted relative to the real space direction. Considering that the FFT can also be considered as reciprocal lattice, this is clearly incorrect. I had hoped that this problem would be fixed as I reported this years ago and recieved a reply that this problem would

  • Re: New NanoScope Analysis release, now with new force curve analysis tools! (v1.40R2)

Hi Ben, There is something strange about the spectrum 2D filter of V1.40R2. If one filters an image that contains regular noise lines the FFT frequency spots seem to be in the wrong orientation with regard to the original image. Also the x-scale of the FFT is still in real space. The old software version Normal 0 false false false EN-AU X-NONE X-NONE

  • Thermal tune method advice.

Hi All, I am seeking advise on using the thermal tune method to derive the 'k' value for soft cantilevers ( res freq about 15kHz ). At the moment, to do this, I operate a D3100 as follows: 1. In contact mode, approach a hard sample ( metal sample holder ) and acquire a force Vs distance curve to calibrate the piezo sensitivity. 2. return to
