  • Caliber w/ MCLT-B PSD issues

Hi everyone. I'm using a Bruker/Veeco Caliber SPM with an MLCT chip (laser on the 'B' cantilever with a nominal stiffness of 0.02 N/m) to perform regular raster scans of a sputtered moly coating. 1. Having initially centered the laser on the PSD array, I notice that as my tip approaches the surface during auto-engage, the vertical deflection

Stefan, Thanks so much for your reply. The laser spot position and the head tilt does seem to make a huge difference in the non-contact region noise. Best, Harman.

Hi, I'm trying to perform force-distance analysis using the TESP/TESPD probes on the Veeco Caliber SPM. There are two issues I'm facing, that I could really use some help with: 1. My primary samples are unfilled PTFE and unfilled PEEK. Doing indents on PTFE with a new TESP tip, I am able to get hardness values of around 50MPa (with some spatial
