    Hi Senli, How can I get access to the nanoscope analysis 1.5?. Unfortunately, the matlab utility in the current version i am using requires win 32 bit, however, I don't have matlab installed in a 32 bit environment.     Hi, I also need to use Nanoscope 8.15 with Dimension Icon to perform force control experiment. I have tried using script mode with ramp set point, however, was not very successful. Here is what I want to do: ramp the force to a certain value, then keep Z constant for a certain time (for relaxation), then bring the probe back to the original position

  • Trigger in relaxation test

    Hi all, I am using script chart in Veeco Dimension Icon to perform relaxation tests (ramp Z by an amount delta, and hold constant). As my sample is soft, I wants to limit the force apply on the sample using the trigger mode. I entered the values for the relative forward trigger and reverse trigger, but they do not seem to limit the applied force. For

    Thank you all for your replies. I am using Tap 150A in tapping mode. My sample is PLGA which has biconcave shape with diameter about 10-30 micron, height is about 3 micron. Anything else that I need to be aware of in order to minimize this artifact since if I can't not eliminate it, it causes trouble when trying to get the mechanical properties

    Thank you for your reply. Yes, I turned on Z closed loop, but the reverse path effect still happens in the deflection vs. Z sensor, especially when the trig threshold defleciton is high. is there any other factors?

    I used ramp mode in Dimension Icon to obtain force curves. However, the inverse path effect appears and causes the retracting curve to pass over the approach curve. This is unphysical as at the same amount of indentation, the force exert on the sample during loading should be larger than those exerted when unloading. This effect occurs eventhough the

  • Question about imaging a biconcave sample and using the force scripting interface in Dimension Icon

    Hi, I am using Veeco Dimension Icon. My sample is made of PLGA, and has a biconcave shape similar to red blood cell. The maximum diameter is about 30 microns, and the height is about 3 microns.
