Dear Marc, I do have a manual for Peak-Force QNM. However, I am not sure if it is allowed to publish it in the internet. I guess you already use some kind of manual, don't you? It doesn't sound as if what is written in the manual could help you there. What exactly is your problem? Dietmar

Dear H-Y, It's still hard to imagine what your problem is. Haven't you got the original data (file name ends with ".000" or so) that we could open in NanoscopeAnalysis? From what I know so far, I cannot really help you. You seem to have produced some weird kind of artifact, just I cannot tell you yet how to avoid it. Dietmar

Dear Janne, Thanks a lot. As I thought, the answer is easy, but I didn't think of something like that so far. Helps me a lot! Thanks you, Dietmar

Hello, H-Y, Haven't you got any images offline? Just to give us a clue of what you're talking about? I'm afraid I can't tell anything without having seen the images. Regards, Dietmar

Dear H-Y, That sounds weird to me. I have some rough ideas what might cause effects like that, but I'd like to see your images before. Could you please post them so that we know better what you're talking about? Regards, Dietmar --- For posting images here: Go to the top right of the window and click on your profile name. Dear community, We all know that it can be very important to compare Trace and Retrace curves as it tells a lot about possible measurement artifacts. While we can always see both Trace and Retrace data in the form of curves below our images, the images themselves are always only either the one or the other (I think default is Retrace). I tried to find

Dear tibs, Now that is the reason, also for this strange negative Z values. So at least you found the problem. I never get an output called "Z sensor". My output data is only the "deflection error". Might have to do with the way you run the machine. What's your probe properties (spring constant etc.)? Regarding your last question
-
Dear tibs, I looked again at all three of your plotted curves. In fact "only" two of the three curves start at negative Separation and go towards zero Separation. One of them - "m blank 2013-07-10.121" - shows at least positive Separation values as it should. Nevertheless, the data is way too noisy to use it. And actually it is also

Dear Mariam, If you want us to check your DMTmodulus versus HSDC issue we will need some data - as possible not just as images but the original files to open them in NanoscopeAnalysis. It might have to do with your probe property input, but I can tell you only if you give us the files. By the way, it might be more convenient if you add the files in

Dear community, The radius of curvature of the sample is an important value that could influence the results of the Peak Force QNM measurement if it is close to the radius of curvature of the AFM probe. Is there a way to map the radii of curvature of the sample via NanoScope Analysis? If no, is such a feature planned? Regards, Dietmar
