  • Failed in Thermal Tune

Hi I'm using a multimode 8 AFM and met some problem. When I try 'thermal tune' option in touch calibration with PeakForce QNM (NanoScope 9.2, 64bit) there is a pop-up window that says:"failed in high speed data retrieve." I have tried replace probe, change probe holder, check every cable and restart everything both in liquid and

  • Peakforce in liquid

Hello I have used Bruker multimode8 AFM peakforce QNM in air mode to test elastic modulus for the past year and try to move to in liquid these days. I have seen some published paper using tapping mode in liquid but few in Peakforce mode. If its possible, could anyone suggest me some paper or manual from Bruker to have a look? And also I have some questions

  • Problem with PeakForceQNM calibration

Hello, I am using sapphire for peakforceQNM calibration (multimode8, probe type: RTESPA). Accoding to the <DRAFT:PeakForce QNM quick start guide> from Briker, the scale of force monitor has adjusted to 200mV. but the force curve I've got are quite diffrent from the curves from the guide: the adhision is much bigger than the max force value

  • DMT or Sneddon modulus?

Hello, I am currently using PeakForce QNM mode for testing soft tissue. The probe for my testing is TAP150A. According to probe geometry and previous paper from Bruker I think I should use value from sneddon channel but when I test on reference sample (young's modulus= 2.7+-0.1GPa) the sneddon modulus is extremely high (around 300GPa). Is this normal
