(I hope Bede will answer that oneWink

What do you think is the most accurate way to calculate the volume of a feature (like a cell) from the height channel?

So far, I know 2 ways:

1) Use "Vision": you certainly get the volume but it's not very accurate: if the volume of your feature is 0.00102 um3 or if it's 0.00195, the software will give you 0.001 um3 while it's a factor 2 difference. I think it's just a question of correct display of the digits but I didn't find any way to fix this up.

2) Use "Nanoscope Analysis" and "Bearing Analysis": this is definitely simpler but I am wondering how accurate this is. It happened that the SW gave me very different values from what I was expecting considering the average feature geometry at first glance, like a factor 100 difference...

Thanks for your thoughts,

Alex.
