Hello,

Is it possible to turn off the laser during the measurement?

I used contact mode.  So it is important to have the laser signal to determine the deflection of the cantilever.

Thanks!

That is where "DarkLift" comes in handy. When using LiftMode, choose a lift height of 0nm and turn on "DarkLift". This way you will re-trace your previously acquired topography but without the feedback diode being on.
