Hello Andrea, This correspond to the side angle right? Thanks, Benoit.

  • Deflexion sensitivity?

Hello, I measured the deflexion sensitivity with a variety of probes (from 0.32 to 50 N/m) on glass and sapphire surface and I am getting values in the range of 10 to 15 nm/V. Isn't that a little low? Thanks, Benoit.

  • Tip half angle for young modulus

Hello, There are 3 different values of angle for a tip, the side, back and front angle, what half angle value should I use for the elastic modulus calculation? Thanks, Benoit.

  • Force measurement scanasyst fluid

Hello, I was wondering if scanasyst fluid was OK for elasticity measurement in force volume mode in liquid? Thanks, Benoit.

  • Re: Colloidal probe calibration

OK, so if thermal tune is more accurate in air, to do elasticity measurement in liquid I need to measure the def sens in air, then do the thermal tune in air and finally, measure the def sens again in liquid. Is that correct? The reason I didn't measure the def sens in air is because I couldn't get any good force curve due to the huge adhesion

  • Re: Colloidal probe calibration

Hello, Thanks for your answer! Like you said, the adhesion was too high and the deflexion I was using too low, I switch to sapphire surface in liquid which reduced the adhesion and I increased the deflexion to 2V. I got a def sens of 14 nm/v this way, then I did the thermal tune in air anf got a spring constant of 0.65N/m... Benoit.

  • Colloidal probe calibration

Hello, I am trying to calibrate a colloidal probe (2 um beads) and I am getting very high deflexion sensitivity (around 1000 nm/V) and then very low spring constant (0.012 instead of 0.6N/m). I calibrated the deflexion sensitivity in liquid and then the thermal tune in air... Anyone could tell me what s wrong? Thanks, Benoit.

  • Force curve

Hello, I am using the new FV mode on nanoscope v8.15 and I am getting force curve with out of phase approach curve like below: Could you please tell me how to fix this? Thanks, Benoit.

  • New Nanoscope analysis/Force volume

Hello, I just installed the nanoscope analyse software and I started using the new FV interface. I was able to get elastic modulus map but I couldn't check how the force curves were fitted. I was wondering if it was possible to display the fitting curve on the force curve? Thanks, Benoit.
