Hi, It looks like you had an update of your Matrox video drivers. Try to restore your system with "System Restore" in Assessoiries" to a date it was working fine. If the program works again, look at the updates that needs to be intalled and exclude the matrox video driver update. If that not the case, I would go for a complete recovery

Perhaps you are already doing it, but do the last washing step of the bacteria with demi water, suspend the centrifuged bacteria in 1 or 2 ml demiwater and use that while gluing the bacteria to the tip with poly L lisine. So while in demi and not in buffer. You have to do this quick, bacteria will not survive long in demi.

Hello Benoit, The settings are good then. It is in air so all the other remarks are useless Try measuring a calibration grid to see if the stretching is also there. If that is the case recalibrate, if its then still there I suspect something wrong with the piezo.... Best Regards, Joop

Are you sure your sample is well fixed and is not getting of the support If it is in liquid, can the sample ( e.g. polymer) swell due to the liquid? Is the liquid at room temperature ( summer/airco) Have you tried to decrease the contact

Jeremy, What you also can do is have a look at the freeware software package from Gwyddion ( http://gwyddion.net/ ). The options you have exporting (save as) is very good, and the Bruker/Veeco/DI files are read without any problem. For publishing pictures I use it a lot. Joop

Hello Jeremy, I don't know much about TUNA, but is scanning with a 90 degree angle an option? If it is related to lateral forces, the lines shout increase I expect, if they are the same I expect it to be sample related? But perhaps Stefan can comment on this...... Joop

If I look at the picture can it be a flattening-error, because I think the picture is flatened without excluding the features (hole end the height at the top af the picture). Is there also no hole

I think the problem is in the focusing IN the liquit. The way I do it without any problems: First allign and focus the tip and surface in air, add the liquit, realign the laser ( only the x-as a little couterclockwise) to find the maximum sum back. Then Approach! You will make good contact, but the surface will not be in focus. In the newer software
