Hi, Joop, i already got that note but is i missing something? We get several channel from this new mode like adhesion or modulus, dissipation, but what's the peak force error stands for? the property of hardness?

what's the difference between Peak force error image got in QNM and phase image got in normal tapping mode?

Thanks for your supportive information, Hartmut, I will try to do it again.

Hi, Ang and Hartmut, Thanks for your helpful comments. I tried some imaging in air recently but still cannot get any signal on height channel. The tip I am using is NP-10 serial with the spring constant 0.12N/m one. Does this tip proper for this kind of image taking? As you mentioned that it will take some time for coming down the drift, how long it

I try to mapping some atomic resolution imaging in contact mode with E scanner and Multimode. I am following steps in Tech. Support Bulletin No. (NBSB-0042) Atomic Imaging with Nanoscope Multimode System and start with mica sample in liquid. However, this note just mentioned how to set up the high/low pass filter parameter for V5 and V6 and i could

Thanks, Stefan

Hi, Stefan, Thanks for your reply. Is this "+" tip suitable for harder sample like silica? Also is this sharper tip can get the high resolution compare with the normal one? That's the only difference of these two tips? Lujie

I'm using a Multimode 8 with Nanoscope 8.10 software and E scanner. I got some problems when imaging some polymer deposit on silica or mica substrate in liquid with SCANASYST-FLUID+ tip. When scanning, the Z-piezo voltage value keeps increasing until eventually reaching the limit and I have to withdraw it. However after I withdraw, the vertical

Thanks for the clarification, Stefan and Bede. I still have some problems when playing with the new software. Every time when i engage successfully and switch to ramp window. the vertical signal changed to over 0.5 something like that and the retract and approach seems far away from each other. Can you give me some suggestions base on your experience

our group just updated our multi-mode and use the new software nano version 8. However instead of deflection, it has deflection error. and in manual it says just choosing plot the deflection error vs z? is that the final force curve we get? is any difference between deflection error and deflection?
