I am using ScanAsyst in Fluid. I want to image the surface and probe several points of interest and get the force curves.

My problem is that when I clicked "Point and shoot" button, after marking the points, the "Ramp and Capture" button was dead, only "Ramp Only" worked. So I cannot capture the force curves after ramping, and the file was not aumatically saved, and there was no ".mca" file in my directory.

What I did was I engaged the tip first, set the right scan size, and then clicked the "Point and shoot" button. I am not sure if I forgor any step to run "Point and shoot"?

Thanks very much if you have seen my problem and help.

I am facing the same problem from time to time. If the button is "dead" go back and activate the imaging window then switch again to point & Shoot window.

Cheers
