I am using a Dimension Icon with NanoScope v8.15 to image multiple locations on very similar samples. In ScanAsyst mode (with auto setpoint and auto z limit set to OFF) when I withdraw to move the stage and then reengage, the peak force setpoint and z range reset to default values. Is there any way to lock these values during a withdraw/reengage cycle?

Thanks very much for your help,

Corey Thompson

Hello Corey

Unfortunatelly I don't know any lock, but you may try to find out your values and when you withdraw change the values and that reengage. The next cycle should hold your values.

Hi, Please try to change the parameters before you engage and they should be firstly automatically set upon engage (for a few seconds at the beginning of imaging) and later change back to user preset value during imaging. Please let me know if the procedure doesn't work and I can pass you another procedure to 'lock' the values.
