Dear all,
I require some "technical" specifications regarding the movement of the photodetector of a Nanoscope IV AFM. The information I'd like to know is this:
How far does the photodetector move for a set amount of rotation of the knobs on the AFM head? The knobs I refer to are the ones that make the vertical and horizontal photodetector signals vary from +/- 10 V to -/+ 10 V.
I am rotating one knob at a time by a set amount (like a quarter of a revolution) to test the response of the photodiode to this movement, but it would be nce to know how far (e.g., in distance unts) the photodetector is actually moving each time I rotate a knob. Also, does it differ depending on which knob is rotated?
I don't know if this information is freely available, but if it is it would be much appreciated if someone could provide this information.
