The FastScan's Bandwidth enables 100Hz scanning over 2um on polyhydroxybutyrate-co-valerate at room temperature. Each frame takes 2.6 seconds. This enhanced speed gives new insight into the variations in growth rates between lamellae, as well as how they interact in and around defects, and finally when and how they meet and join.
The nature of this sample is that you have to be able to Survey fast, to find the regions of interest as shown above, and then even faster to capture the dynamics of the lamella.
