  • Re: Repairable air holder

I tried to update the flickr to allow seeing the images. Flickr was first search result for publishing images. Hopefully it works now. Anyway the problem is shifted and most likely detached part of the holder. You place the tip onto metal block and then it is locked with the spring lever, but the metal block is off, and I cant see properly the attached

  • Repairable air holder

Hello I have recently found out, that metal holder of the tip chip (block on which you lay the chip) is slightly off. Should be the greenish wire connected to the metal block? Is it repairable only by glueing the metal block? Thanks for info Jimmy

  • Advice for beginner in mechanical properties

Hello I'm beginner user of Catalyst and I've worked little bit with force volume mode and PFQNM mode and done only Young modulus measurements. I have to start adhesion measurement with fibronectin functionalization. Which cantilever is more suitable? With tip or tipless or even with sphere? In case of cantilever with sphere/bead - what sphere

Hello Corey Unfortunatelly I don't know any lock, but you may try to find out your values and when you withdraw change the values and that reengage. The next cycle should hold your values. Jimmy

  • PF QNM and FV on same cells

Dear all I was wondering when I do same analysis on force curves from FV mode and PFQNM mode, the value of Young Modulus is about 10 times and more different. From FV are softer than from PFQNM. What could be the cause? It was measured in same day, few minutes appart themselves (switching between modes). Thanks for suggestions. Jimmy
