Hi Darice, This post is 1 year old but my answer could help somebody else. I had the same problem while engaging with a very soft probe (DNP-D) in fluid in the PFQNM mode. the default engage step is 15 um, You will be able to engage with a lower engage step (microscope menu > engage settings), you could also use a lower gain. kind regards Celine

Hi, I am using the BioScope Catalyst. I can’t manage to engage in fluid with the DNP-10 probe (the “D” cantilever). The motor don’t move, I obtain a false engagement, even if I’m going deep in the liquid (to avoid any false engage due to the liquid surface). I have not this issue in air. I also tried to remove the “C”
